Manila Wear 2014

Why Manila Wear? One of the more relevant issues of Philippine fashion is design translation into the contemporary. Culture and tradition is reinvented and transformed into modern creations fitting for the times.  This branding initiative aimed to position the industry in the global resort/tropical market is a visionary  step in showcasing local artistry at its best.  Lead by international fashion icon Josie Natori, it umbrellas the countries more established and seasoned designers in showcasing artisanal creations made from fusion of both basic and Philippine materials. A reflection of the beauty of Filipino talent and sensibilities, the insightful movement is a progressive and optimistic approach on style relevance in the local industry. This collective of outstanding artists aims to present masterpieces defining the current  nowness of style individuality and more significantly promoting cultural preservation. Manila wear is fashion forward with a strong design statement of better things to come.

MI AMORE by Randy Ortiz for Myth













Summer 2012 is in full bloom as the refreshing parade of flora and fauna in the international runways transcend into the grandstanding world of retail.  In the Philippines, local designer Randy Ortiz for Myth collection entitled "Mi Amore" is a luxurious presentation of relaxed and sophisticated pieces to captivate the mood and feel of modern resort wear.  A variety of fantastical prints in classic silhouettes creates an alluring look of contemporary elegance.  Color comes alive with a mix of brights and pastels matched with the new neutrals that burst into the warm days ahead.   Fascinating forms through tailoring reinvents the seasonal  wears with more polished and refined interpretation giving new insights into our everyday wardrobe. Mi Amore redefines the local retail scene with brave and bold approach into resort dressing.

Randy Ortiz for Bench-Holiday 2011 Ad campaign

The battle of retail giants continues as they unveil their yuletide season campaigns. Iconic retail brand recently released their latest designer-- Randy Ortiz for Bench Holiday.  The famed designer who designs for sister brand Kashieca has successfully crossed over and created a dressy collection for both men and women.  Classic black and white hues dominate in fashion forward pieces highlighted by red.  Prints come alive as stripes, polka dots and more add chic twists to the standard ensemble. Dressing up the holidays is making a refined statement of classic elegance as Randy Ortiz incorporates his design trademarks.  His remarkable tailoring for both men and women are fused into retail pieces that will surely make one standout this season.  The ad campaign set in a garden backdrop with the hottest young celebrities and personalities led by no less than actor Dingdong Dantes and actress Kim Chiu with Rayver Cruz, Sam Concepcion, uber model Pauline Prieto among others.

The Gold Standard







Fashion for the holidays is glittering with luxe ideas.  Notable local designer Randy Ortiz recently came out with his 2011 Holiday Luxe collection entitled Marque d' Or for Myth.  Randy's Midas touch takes inspiration from the understated as it presents a subtle perspective of the world of luxury and opulence.  The latest creations define the "new" minimalist luxe in a style interpretation of clean and classic silhouettes for both Randy O Man and Woman.  Luxurious gender less appeal come in color blocked jackets and shirts for him while tweed jackets, hints of beading, cutworks, electro pleating, drapes, jumpsuits and jodhpurs are for her.  Highlighting the collection are prized bags in a variety of shapes and sizes in special python leather.  Style in finery is practicing some restrain but setting up the new standard.
