Fashion in the Philippines is global. Despite the strong presence of thousands of international brands in the market, the local design scene is thriving with countless of retail labels, both established and new designer. With the endless names, there are those who, among the many are distinct and ingenious thus in 2012 Manila Wear was formed. Curated by internationally renowned Filipino designer Josie Natori, artisanal fashion pieces takes part as one of the major event highlights at Manila FAME.

This years's event features local fashion at its finest. Excellence shines in wonderful creations fashioning and stylizing the fusion of tradition, culture, design, aesthetics into the contemporary. With the growing appreciation for artisanal fashion, Manila Wear sets the stage to promote and showcase local design into the global buyers market. This year the highly selected roster of designers are Amina Aranaz-Alunan, Mia Arcenas, Jun Artajo, Anne Mari Saguil, Anna Ayuyao, JC Buendia, Maco Custodio, Kristine Dee, Lally Dizon, Mich Dulce, Jun Escario, Joel Escober, Carissa Cruz Evangelista, OJ Hofer, Emi Jorge, Natalya Lagdameo, Rajo Laurel, Adante Leyesa, Dennis Lustico, Joyce Makitalo, Dita Sandico-Ong, Arnel Papa, Malou Romero, Ken Samudio, Neil Felipp San Pedro, Cary Santiago, Nicole Whisenhunt and Jaime Zanoria.
