Luxe Celebration

Triumph, a household name in the undergarments industry celebrated is celebrating its 125th year and in the Philippines.  Highlighting style through innovation, the legendary brand participated at the recently concluded Philippine Fashion Week at the SMX Convention Center and presented an exhibit and fashion show. This author and his team was fortunate enough to participate in this milestone event by styling a 90 piece collection of contemporary underwear in their most alluring incantations.  From the boardroom to the streets and into red carpet activities,   these basic everyday essentials have become a serious statement.  Triumph showcased pieces  that aren't just simple underwear but through the years their forward approach have reinvented the classics into relevant fashion. From fabrication to colors and styles, the celebrated name has definitely created a mark of distinction in the gobal undergarments industry.  Ending the show was celebrity/beauty queen/TV host Ruffa Gutierrez wearing Triumph and a tulle skirt by Look of Style 2010 Designer of the Year Pablo Cabahug.

Return to Africa

Modern Africa is coming strong as one of the biggest trends in the coming year.  Safari fever is coming as renowned designer Michael Kors presented his Spring 2012 Collection. "Afriluxe is the new mood as it take tribal to ultra-high levels global style.  Earth tones such as limestone, olive, clay, impala antelope, creamy tones of ivory and warm sunset shades of amber sienna and cinnabar define the new palette of Africa.  Modern minimalism is creating an easy laid back feel as seen in soft djellabas, caftans, ponchos, capes sarongs and wind coats.  Style is in the raw presented with chic artisan textures such as distressed cashmere, linen, leather, patchworks and hand dyed fabrications.

The ties that Bind

The epitome of the perfect Bench family anchors the series of photos for the Holiday 2011 ad campaign of the retail giant.  The Gomez family namely Richard, Lucy and Julianna symbolizes how the famous brand has grown into one of pillars in the local retail world and how they have become a huge family.  Richard, who was the first face of Bench, has been with the "family" for almost two decades and has contributed to the brand's trademark which is now part of history.  Lucy, whose entry to the limelight began when she did a shampoo commercial with Richard, came into the family and became the image model for Her Bench.  Through the years as a couple, Bench came up with a kids line wherein Julianna (their only child) endorsed as well.  Family, trust, loyalty and longevity, the brand goes beyond all the clothing--it's all about the ties that bind.

Retail giant Bench released its Holiday 2011 campaign with the biggest gathering of superstars and the next generation of actors/tv personalities/ TV Host in the Philippines.  The lineup presents television and cinema's name droppables in classic retail clothing that seemingly looks timeless.  The household name in the landscape of Philippine retail showcases optimism through visual messages reflecting Filipino moral and core values.
