Asian Dragon Weddings 2014 Groom Story

In some bridal magazines there will always be the man of the hour. In the Philippines, Asian Dragon Weddings latest issue presents a fashion editorial on how to dress up the groom. Top local designers were asked to created pieces to interpret this style directive.  From the staple black suit, there are new shades and hues suggested in modern times.  Fabrication has become exploratory as a fusion of textures display a refreshing red carpet appeal. Fashion and travel together is amazing work and fun experience.  Exploring new places is fascinating and stretches the imagination to produce larger than life images that are meant to be relevantly inspiring.  The author and the Asian Dragon magazine team shot in Thailand a few months back and was challenged by a theme for editorial fashion.  Loads of boxes of Filipino designer wear were transported to Bangkok to be shot at heritage sights that have become the backdrop to forefronting fashion.  Despite the extreme heat where we constantly bathed in sweat, the fun never stops as we laughed our way throughout the shoot.  The result, are picture perfect images that not only displayed the best of Philippine fashion but also the passion of the team that had a memorable and experience to last forever.

BTS as Project Runway Season 4

Manila is all geared up for next year's Project Runway Philippines Season 4 in March 2015.  15 aspiring design talent from all over the country will compete to be proclaimed as Philippine fashion's next to watch.  Recently this author worked with the production team, host and judges to produce the teasers and print materials for the show.  Great time to reconnect with people who I've known for quite sometime.  Fun and laughter filled the set in a free flowing exchange of heart filled energy.  An insight is their noteworthy longevity and the embodiment of true professionalism.  Here are the behind the scenes of oustanding moment all in a days work.

Fashion is standing tall as global brand Kenneth Cole New York creates a replica of the Otto(a polished-leather lug sole bootie from the fall 2014 collection) in celebration of the 10th annual Guinness World Records Day and the 60th anniversary of the Guinness World Records. The towering 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 6 feet, 5 inches long built byIzquierdo Studio(a costume and prop design atelier, took nearly 400 hours to create and required five and a half hides, as well as 3-D printing to craft the buckle and clasp which measured over a foot long) is a masterpiece partnership with designer Kenneth Cole and Today Show Contributor Jill Martin. The world’s largest high-heeled shoe will be showcased at Lord & Taylor’s flagship NYC location on their newly renovated shoe floor.
