Fashion Transition

After the peak of summer comes the changing of the season and with this the world of fashion unfolds the pre-fall collections. These mid-year collections give a sneak peek and an insight on upcoming trends for the months ahead.
International menswear brand Pierre Cardin recently presented their latest campaign with a style-setting showcase of runway inspired pieces from the AW 2012 global collections. Tailoring rules in modern silhouettes transforming retail into bespoke like masterpieces. Suits, blazers and jackets are finely transformed in slim- fitting manners of mod attractions. The look of masculinity is sleek, polished and refined with a captivating mood of sexiness. Men need not bare skin to be sexy, the idea is to create the mood in well-defined structural form and infusing trendsetting hues such as olive, military green, deep blues, grays and black. Hints of summer's must-have pastels are here to stay while dark pre-Fall tones have arrived. With all the seriousness in fashion forward appeal, Pierre Cardin injects a hint of playfulness with an array of prints as seen in updated checks, eye-catching polka dots and modern stripes. The global brand is back in the spotlight and has successfully reinvented classic menswear fashion into the now.

BTS Cinderella Holiday 2011 Campaign

History will always be a glimpse of the past and the stories that come with it.  The Paco cemetery is almost a century old and has become a historical landmark.  It is here where the remains of National Hero Jose Rizal lies(or as they say) and the place has become a tourist spot and setting for field trips.  No cadavers and hauntings in the area don't worry since the dead have been transferred already to the North Cemetery.  The beautiful landmark is now a park sprawling with greens and at the heart of it all is the famous church where a lot of weddings are held as well.
For us, it was the backdrop of Cinderella's Holiday 2011 Ad campaign with actress Rhian Ramos.  The theme revolved around luxury and history to give it a fusion of new-old feel.  Loving the setting that seemingly transports one somewhere in time when fashion was on an all time high.  The look is modern grunge--glamorized into modern street wear which somehow reminds one of a popular global series.  Here are the BTS of the shoot, despite the humidity and bi-polar weather, a day spent in Paco Park was definitely worth it.

Bold Move

Seeing these pictures would probably remind you of a hip brand the youthquake would surely love.  Well, think twice and you'll be surprised to know this brand has been around for quite awhile and is currently undergoing a style change.  Moving with the times, the retail legend am talking about is Pierre Cardin.  In Manila, known for their menswear line well-suited for the man on the streets, the new take is reinventing corporate with casuals in a youthful spin.  Old ties are loosened up with a variety of cool casual pieces beyond the stereotype boardroom dressing.  Incorporating the current trends that matter, the fashion forward look is bolder than ever.  The old-new brand is set to take their classic style to the forefront in the season's most wanted hues. Change is inevitable and in fashion with it comes reinvention. With a load of brights matched with denim or the ever dependable khakis, these sharp casuals are must-buy essentials for the modern man's wardrobe this summer.

Bright on.
Bright and easy.
Forward bright.
