Made to Measure

SM Mens Fashion recently shot their holiday campaign featuring three gorgeous looking models namely Hideo Muraoka, Benjamin Tang and Drew Rivera who all represent the different style personalities and characters defining the brand.  Gearing up with the season's stylesetting trends, the must have pieces are definitely something to look out for in the months to come.  The focus is on the new take on modern tailoring in refreshing silhouettes and on the radar hues.  Lots of suits, jackets, blazers and knits to fill one's wardrobe. Retail fashion is raising the bar and fearlessly moving up in fashion forward appeal.  Here are the BTS of the shoot photographed by Frank Hoefsmit and makeup by Bobby Carlos for Max Factor.

Stepping Up

A movement currently happening in the Philippine retail industry is the rise of visual imaging for one of the most basic style essential--shoes.  This author and his style team recently worked on an exciting project which was a campaign for two local shoe brands.  The new direction for shoe ads is gravitating towards trendsetting style and high fashion.  It was a whole day shoot with two of the most popular Brapanese (Brazilian-Japanese) imports in the country--Akihiro Sato and Fabio Ide.  These high profile professional models turned t.v. personalities were very nice, cooperative, unassuming, warm and quite funny.  With so many layouts to do, work turned out to be fun play in the studio, out under the sun and even running under the rain. Both who have modeled in the Asian region for quite sometime showed their admirable expertise and experience in this glamour filled profession. Here are some behind the scenes of the campaign shoot.  Will definitely post the final ads here as soon as the material comes out.

Island Smiles

I'm back!!!  After four days of work and super fun in the renowned island of Boracay I know I will be coming back.  The next few days will be all about my stay so please stick it out with me. After being there for the Nth time, Bora can still be quite captivating.  This trip was special because it was the first time SM shoes and bags department shot their campaign in the island.  It was a big group (23 to be exact) and with us were 13 balikbayan boxes filled with more than a hundred pairs of shoes and bags in total (men's and ladies),  and the latest merchandise to come out this summer 2011.  IN between shoots, we had our own shoot as well and with it were smiling faces under the sun against the palette of blues in the endless horizon.

Work never seems like it when there's a lot of fun involved.  The fun in work is a different experiemce altogether.  Without it, the work life would be meaningless.  Finishing almost 56 layouts including options (atleast for ladies bags and shoes) was a miracle to accomplish.  But with a great team, a lot of sweat and endless laughs...everything was so worth it.

From ear to ear :-)
