Shooting with kids is fun! The team recently styled the up and coming SM Kids shoes Ad material for the holidays and it seemed like we were transported back to our youth.  Bright young things were all around us with everything pretty cute and colorful.  It's like any other job but the big difference is the fun of being a child on the set again.  Light and easy as it always seems with an overload of sweets just in case the model needs a sugar high.  Like any other shoot though, the team is complete with the set, lights, preprod, wardrobe and makeup.  Here's a view of what it's like and again all in a days work.

Sugar and Spice

Kids are the epitome of sugar and spice and everything nice.  One can't help but find them so cute and adorable one cannot attest the joy they bring into the lives of many.  Kids like adults, have their own take in the world of fashion too.  Yes, it may be a whole new world for others but wouldn't anyone want their kids to be style-setters too? 
SM Department Store's in house shoe brands Sugarkids and Toughies has taken the look of these bright young things into fashion forward style.  Presenting their latest catalogues, theses must-have shoes for the holidays will make kids look their cutest best.  The variety of prints, styles and colors are definitely not leaving the young ones behind the trends.  Kids and fashion combined via Sugarkids and Toughies are putting their best foot forward. So proud of the Style Team (my kids) namely Reg Rodriguez, Donna Gonzales Lim, Mikka Velasquez and Rudolph Leonor for redefining the look of children's fashion for the brand through extensive research, clothes editing and forecasting.  Styling kids is no easy task but with a very supportive agency, brand and merchandising group, the collective effort steps up into the forefront of trendsetting style.  Cheers!

We Are Young

Work becomes play when kids are involved.  The look and feel of things around you becomes a decade younger.  The style team recently had a two day shoot featuring kids shoes from nonetheless but the Philippine retail industry's giant among giants--SM.  With kids there are a lot of proppings, clothes are more colorful and the mood is all in the spirit of fun.  Yes, the very young play a big role too in the retail scene, without them, the whole essence of a department store won't be complete.  Going back, one thing quite evident in these kiddie photoshoots is the overload of sweets such as candies, gums, cookies and chocolates.  Waaaaahhh all time sugar high.  The kids love it so much and they always seem to have endless energy.  The sight gives one a moment to look back and recall at one point we filled in the same shoes.  Oh well, there's still a child in each and everyone of us that comes out probably once in a blue moon. Just a thought,could it be the secret of youth?
