Rob Sanchez in Vinyl on Vinyl

Currently on exhibit at Vinyl on Vinyl's new home in Pasong Tamo Makati is Rob Sanchez.  His almost sold out exhibition  is celebrated in a beautiful setting of space, high ceiling and seamless industrial interiors.  Contemporary surrealism in dark hues with hints vivid tones are backdropped on immaculate white.  These acrylic on canvas masterpieces echo a seemingly dark mood in silence.  Eerily arresting, each piece has a story to tell.

Vinyl on Viinyl is located at 2135 Chino Roces Avenue, Makati city.

Inspire.

Modern art comes in a variety of forms and vinyl is one among the many.  While in Hongkong,  this author chanced upon this exhibit amidst the shopping and cuisine it's known for.  From the bright hues to black and whites, the interesting palette is seemingly refreshing. Being a non-art expert, the showcase is a form of beauty as it is to the eye of te beholder. The now and new becomes a source of inspiration in the process of creation.

Facétieux

Manila based French photographer Romain Rivierre holds his first exhibit in the Philippines entitled Facétieux held at A _Space in Makati city.  The talented artist  presents a visual narrative of black and white and colored portraits of some of Manila's popular personalities.  Raw candid moments captured by the brilliant eye through the lens reveal a narrative sense of realism in every photograph.  Echoing his purist sensibilities of the artform, the photos successfully present a candid take on various facets of a personality.  Untainted by commercialism,  the photographer's collective portraits presen a strong point of view invisible under the spotlights.  A simple but amazing exhibition of an artist truly a league on his own.
