Style Origin 9: Bonifacio High Street (BHS)

While half of the style team was in Davao preparing for Style Origin Abreeza show, the Manila contingent led by Rudolph Leonor and Mikka Velasquez had their hands full with the event in Bonifacio High Street (BHS).  The stage was set literally at the center street in BHS compared to the rest of the series which was all held in the malls.  With fourteen big brands participating, the second to the last of the Style Origin series adds up to the monumental success of this fusion of music and fashion showcase by the Ayala Malls.  Week after week, this mall to mall  tour is an ingenious concept of bringing style and entertainment closer to the general public.  It's a reportage of the latest collections available in the retail stores promoting awareness in global fashion.   Yes we've come this far, and after 12 shows, it just keeps on getting better.

Style Origin 7: Cebu 1

The Style Origin series continues and is on to its next leg but this time out of Manila--Cebu.  The colossal mall inspired by the Terraces in Greenbelt is a maze of almost anything and everything you can think of with a LOT of space.  Am doing two entries for Cebu coz there are a lot of pictures taken and afraid to put all of them in one entry.  Thanks to Mikmik from the Ayala Center group, we were billeted at the Marriott Hotel Cebu city which is easily accessible via the mall.  Here are some pics of the interiors.

After a delightful brekkie (breakfast) with Director Jackie Aquino, we stayed for awhile in the hotel until noon then headed to the mall for lunch(hahahahhahaa!)--it's no surprise that Cebu is one of those places in the Philippines known as a gastronomic haven .  Food is unbelievably reasonable and there's just so much to try and variety to choose from.  After lunch, the style team finally started to get things going and had to go to the stores participating in the event to assign model tags for the clothes selected. These brands are the following:

The best thing about out of town work trips is the company you keep and with us was family.  In situations like this, the work becomes fun and all the more fulfilling for everyone. Bonding time is building time that goes beyond work and into lifetime friendships.  Though the style team may not be complete, we knew the rest were present in spirit--missing you much Belle Camarsi, Reg Rodriguez, Donna Gonzales Lim, Noelle Llave and Mary Grace Caison.
