Exotic Skins

Bags are one of the most wanted accessories for men in the 21st century.  No longer style-identified with women, these fashion necessities are fitting in both function and form in today's lifestyle.  Men of all ages are stylized with bags at work, play or simply highlighting his day to day ensemble.  Yes, it has become an essential in fashioning the modern man and has stepped forward beyond the ordinary.  This season, Furla has come up with interesting and uber stylish bags for men.  Inspired by the film "  A Single Man", the latest  Autumn Winter  2011-2012 collection for men is all about minimal elegance with attention to detail.  Vintage-like pieces in timeless forms are made modern with luxe materials in exotic skins seen in ostrich and croc-print leather.  The brand makes a bold move by adding color to the classics such as calfskin, pony, suede and nappa. From casual to sporty or everyday wear, Furla Men's Autumn Winter 2011-2012 is taking the tradition with a fusion of eclecticism and versatility into a whole new level of style in understanding men of today and their fashion.

Moda Italia

Rustan's yesterday presented as part of their Italian Festival 2011 a fashion show called "Moda Italia" held at Greenbelt 4 in Ayala Center, Makati city.  A tribute to fabulous Italian fashion, the runway presentation paraded collections of global brands such as Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tods, Bulgari, Fendi, Pucci, Zegna, Armani Exchange, Furla, Diesel, Marlboro Classic and Coccinelle. The style team was bigger than the usual suspects because it was a combination of three teams (the authors associates, fashion communication students and apprenticeship class).  Loved the collections specially when you know the pieces are made of the highest quality and from one of the fashion capitals in the world. It was the biggest backstage cast where each model had a stylist, dresser and of security (because of the merchandise).  Despite the heavy rain in the afternoon, the well attended show directed by Jackie Aquino and the JCA team turned out to be an enormous success.  A night of beautiful faces, fantastic food and fabulous style celebrated all in the great Italian way.
