Break a leg!

Legs, legs and more legs.  Chic hosiery brand Leg Love recently presented its latest collection a moon ago at the Rockwell Tent, Makati.  This author was lucky to be commissioned to style both the lines of Pablo Cabahug and Bianca Valerio.  One thing ideal in styling a fashion show is when you are given creative freedom to execute an idea to the best of your abilities. It was a challenge two distinctive lines one inspired by theatrics while the other high fashion.  The first task was to display sexiness with refinement. Bianca Valero's line was inspired by the iconic Dita Von Teese-burlesque. Sexy, sultry but sophisticated, the style team incorporated the use of fur, head pieces, lace gloves and luxe underwear by Triumph and killer heels by Parisian.  The second was to present Pablo Cabahug's line in two parts of high fashion.  Inspired from the recent Fall 2011 Holiday collections, inspiration for the first part was all about color.  Blocks of colors paraded the runways in short and long dresses complimenting the new hues of Leg Love accentuated by satin gloves and towering shoes by DAS.  The second take was a dramatic interpretation of ebony in a celebration of patterns. The models strutted the runways with embroidered masks, spectacular dresses and on the radar shoes by DAS. The highlight of the show was the stellar appearance of style icon Divine Lee in a fierce scarlet gown by Pablo Cabahug and Leg Love's dinstinctive and fashion forward masterpiece.  Truly a night to remember, it was a fantastic show that prides with great collaboration, teamwork and friends. A subliminal testimony marked and strengthened by all the leg love.

Legging Up!

Break a leg(an idiomatic expression among Thespians which means good luck)!  Hosiery brand Leg Love recently came out with two new collections for women out there who want to their legs in style.  The first line Couture by uber model Bianca Valerio is giving sexiness a fashion spin like no other.  Inspired by the iconic Dita Von Teese, the tastefully fetish inspired pieces are oozing with a flirty, quirky and theatrical appeal in all its seductive attractions. The TV Host, Make-Up Artist, Online Style Columnist, Blogger and Personality Development Speaker redefines the fusion of fashion and sexy in a retrospective feel of thematic looks through the decades.  Sexiness is in the detail as seen in the range of styles that seemingly tickle the imagination with subliminal intention. Sexy is high on style with these must-buy pieces that will compliment your holiday look with a lot of play and definitely won't cost you an arm and a leg.

The second line introduces Leg Love's latest designer for their fashion forward hosiery--no less than Look magazine's  Look of Style 2010 winner Pablo Cabahug.  The former design assistant of Randy Ortiz has created an interesting collection of pattern play and patchwork pieces fitting for every woman of style.  Remarkable display of creativity in distinctive appeal reinvents the look of hosiery making it a must-have piece of the season.  Style icon of the now generation, Divine Lee is fittingly the muse of the current designer ad campaign. With the designer's fresh aesthetics and  Leg Love's bold approach to design brings the classic second skin piece into a whole new level of fashion.
Socks line for men called "Elements" by Gold Toe is also participating in the show with segments by noteworthy fashion stylista and TV personalities' Ferdi Salvador and Ram de Veyra. Come to the unveiling of one Philippine fashion's next big event this coming Tuesday October 11, 2011 at the Rockwell tent 6pm.  Directed by Jackie Aquino with JCA Productions, sponsored by Parisian shoes and Triumph. See you there!

Moda Italia

Rustan's yesterday presented as part of their Italian Festival 2011 a fashion show called "Moda Italia" held at Greenbelt 4 in Ayala Center, Makati city.  A tribute to fabulous Italian fashion, the runway presentation paraded collections of global brands such as Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tods, Bulgari, Fendi, Pucci, Zegna, Armani Exchange, Furla, Diesel, Marlboro Classic and Coccinelle. The style team was bigger than the usual suspects because it was a combination of three teams (the authors associates, fashion communication students and apprenticeship class).  Loved the collections specially when you know the pieces are made of the highest quality and from one of the fashion capitals in the world. It was the biggest backstage cast where each model had a stylist, dresser and of security (because of the merchandise).  Despite the heavy rain in the afternoon, the well attended show directed by Jackie Aquino and the JCA team turned out to be an enormous success.  A night of beautiful faces, fantastic food and fabulous style celebrated all in the great Italian way.

Style Origin 8: Marquee 2

On our third day in Pampanga, the rest of the group arrived (Director Jackie Aquino, PMAP models, Pablo Cabahug, Poli Laurito etc.)  It was a hectic day which included rehearsal, fitting, more rehearsals but nevertheless fun fun fun since everyone was present... time to rock Pampanga.  The two day fashion show event got two bands namely Urbandub(day 1) and Franco(day 2).   The events turned out be a great success with an overflowing mall crowd filling the entire activity center and you can hear them singing to almost every song played.  Shrieks and shrills came from the fans during the performances and we could actually hear it from backstage.

Rise and shine!
