La Creperie Moderne

Simple, well designed and quiet places in the city is best for pleasant and good conversation.  In the concrete jungle of Makati city, La Creperie is hidden in the labyrinth streets of Salcedo village.  the contemporary interiors display a mix of the old and new.  One will love the unpretentious and cozy appeal painted predominantly in modern neutrals. The not so scene to be seen space channels the mood of minimalism where everything seems anti-fancy. Known for their crepes, the menu offers a list of breakfast food, galettes and a list of signature dishes. A long list of mouth-watering desserts will definitely satisfy the sweet tooth.

Wild Cravings

Filipinos love eating out. From fast food to fine dining, nothing can truly satisfy the Pinoy palette as long there's something new to try. After several attempts to make a reservation, was finally able to dine at the latest novelty to open in town -Wildflour. Trying to book a table can be quite an ordeal but once you've had a taste of what everyone is talking about-- you just keep on coming back. Wildflour has a great menu for carb loading fanatics. From breads, sandwiches, pasta and more, one gets complete satisfaction for their a thousand and one cravings. Forget about the calories, must try are the burger, bone marrow and the steak and eggs- how can one resist good food. The ambience is very relaxed, understated without all the flash - definitely the best place to have good lunch and coffee. Though the look may be low-key, the latest hangout for lunchies and afternoon delight is currently the scene to be scene- you'll never know who you'd bump into. Wildflour is always packed so make sure to make your reservation way in advance.

Wildflour cafe is located at 4th corner 26th street, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig city.

Tell me on a Sunday

Sunday is family day and this author spent lunch with his sister Catrina and boyfriend Steve.  We decided to eat at a popular burger place called Charlie's.  Located in the heart of Barangay Kapitolyo, they have built a name through the years and are quite known for their signature freshly ground burgers.  Definitely not the commercial and mainstream type of patties though the taste is something your palette will either like it or don't.  Must-try for first timers is the Black Angus but we strongly recommend to have it cooked medium so the meat doesn't become too dry.  Other choice in the menu include, Gourmet Chicken Burger, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Fish and Chips, Veggie Sticks, Meatballs Marinara 5pcs on Pasta, Cheese Steaks, hotdogs, and creamy milkshakes.  After our heavy greasy lunch, we decided to try out the coffee/cake shop next door called CAB--a bit of an indulgence for a meal but who cares it's a cheat day.  There were so many yummy stuff but chose something not too sweet and ended up with a slice of strawberry shortcake to match my freshly brewed coffee.  Loving the way the cake melted in my mouth, it was the perfect ending to my lunchies.  Looking forward to another foodie adventure with my siblings next Sunday.
