Recycle-Reuse-Reduce-the core of Mindanao Inspires(MI) which creates upcycled products from recycled plastic, paper and other materials.  Amazing and unique pieces are made 100% by the hands of women living in the different areas of the Mindanao region. Filipino artisans showcase the brilliance in creativity as these artisans loom, crochet and assemble noteworthy pieces.  In essence, MI is represented by the Sarimanok logo( mythical and legendary bird of the Maranao tribe), it is a symbolic mark of the various tribes in Mindanao renowned for their metal craft, intricate weaving and artwork.

From classic to contemporary design, Mindanao Inspires showcases a range of lifestyle products from fashion to home decor. Furthermore, this inspiring venture not only saves Philippine tradition and culture( weaving) but also builds and supports sustainable livelihood to communities in the Mindanao Region.

Art of SOUL

Davao is such a beautiful place!!!  The air is fresh and the city is super clean.  I really don't know what number its ranked as one of the cleanest in the country but everywhere i look so far there's not a pile of dump in sight.  With the opening of the recent Ayala Mall in Davao called Abreeza ( the first Ayala Mall in the Mindanao island) last weekend, the author was surprised to see the new establishment is super packed even if all the stores haven't opened yet.  There's just so much people around just walking and checking everything out.  Mind you, Starbucks(the only one in this province) was exaggeratedly packed every hour of the day.  The scene yesterday was really something, the author felt like Starbucks had a three day sale or something(hint-hoping there would be another one soon).  Anyway, while the style team was going through the mall, we happily stumbled into an uber chic store called SOUL.  Loving the current and trendsetting pieces from clothes, bags, accessories and shoes that are very reasonably priced--definitely style without question.  Fantastic interiors, gorgeous lighting and stylish detailing--who would have thought this super fab treasure trove would be in the heart of Davao.  Felt like we were teleported to one of the posh stores in Greenbelt 5.  SOUL is  a must-go luxe setting without the intimidation. One can't help but notice the staff who were very accommodating, warm and friendly.  A distinct shop where style is all that matters.
