Point of Shoot

Shooting day.  Last week, the team had two major shoots one was for men's shoes and the other was for ladies bags at the Elite Studios in A. Venue, Makati. We had quite a big group and decided to take snaps of everyone since the author hasn't logged in an outfit entry for quite awhile.  There were new faces in the team and they easily blended well with everyone.  It was hard stuff and fun as usual but despite the long hours at the end of the shoot we still had a smile on our faces.  There maybe a bit of a struggle here and there, but it never felt like stress--everyone gives extra room for patience.  The goal is to produce the best creative output to meet the requirement and with this the mantra is always "All for one and one for all". Work never feels like work if you love what you're doing and you're in the company of family.

Talk of the Town

What's the latest talk of the town?  The current buzz is the ‘Speak Easy’ movement presented in the AW11 Original Penguin campaign. Inspired by the art of conversation, the collection goes back to the origins of Original Penguin when simplicity and straight forward communication was the standard.  The idea is to bring everything back to basics in a time where the fashion of things were more relaxed and personal.Original Penguin’s A/W 11 collection revives quality and heritage with a modern take on classic menswear looks from the rich Original Penguin archive.
The Autumn/Winter offers strong shapes and rich tones accentuated by high quality construction which is a staple the brand is quite known for.  Knitwear comes in casual vintage and modern styles, double breasted cardigans and basic crewneck jumpers. The new outerwear comes in a fusion of styles seen in wool varsity and puffer jakcets, pea-coats and a range of single breasted jackets.  Chinos and cords make a strong presence in the current collection in a range of the season's trendy hues executed in slim styles and modern carrot fit.  Breaking the news is the launching of the brand's four piece denim collection in four distinctions--Heritage, Rogue, Rockabilly and Pioneer.  These four looks are designed to cater to men of different personalities.  Original Penguin is all about the basics of style without all the fuss and frills bringing forth to our everyday wardrobe forever pieces that stand the test of time.
